This Scene Isn’t Dead presents Joanna Gruesome, Playlounge and Yrrs – live on Saturday 22nd June

Joanna Gruesome will be down! They’ve got an album out via fortuna pop this summer. So who else have we got? Well we’re bringing the amazing PLAYLOUNGE back for a third round of slaying, and along with them are local duo YRRS who we welcome back for a second time. Gonna go off so make it down and save your soul.

This Scene Isn’t Dead presents Wolf Alice and Best Friends – live on Saturday 8th June

Wolf Alice are certainly causing a stir, with the likes of NME and Clash being already huge supporters. The London four-piece are certainly something to shout about and you shouldn’t miss it. Far removed from their folk-beginnings, ‘fluffy’ rocks with a ballsy and unabashed nonchalance, echoing the raucous live sets the band have quickly become reputed for breaking from a groove-laden smack of distorted guitars and thumping drums.

Alt Jukebox presents Only Real and Bayy – live on Saturday 1st June

Alt Jukebox first live night at Postcards and they did not disappoint. Only Real is Londoner Niall Gavin has been making waves with his tunes under the Only Real moniker. A blend of beachy riffs, electronic beats and snarling vocals have made him one of the most promising talents from the capital.

The Scene Isn’t Dead presents Drenge and Wild Smiles. Drenge are “a punky blues-rock duo from the Peak District obsessed with Danish avant-garde cinema” [the Guardian]. Wild Smiles will be bringing their loud, indie pop to bournemouth for the very first time! These boys are ones to watch, as they’ve just put out their debut single via Geoff Barrow’s (Portishead) Invada label.
